To use Fender FUSE with your Mustang I amplifier, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Download the Software: Ensure that you have Fender FUSE software downloaded and installed on your Windows computer. You can find it on Fender's official website, although please note that Fender FUSE is no longer officially supported and might not be available directly from Fender as of the latest updates.

  2. Connect Your Mustang I: Use a USB cable to connect your Fender Mustang I amplifier to your computer.

  3. Launch Fender FUSE: Open the Fender FUSE application on your computer.

  4. Amplifier Recognition: Once your amplifier is connected and turned on, Fender FUSE should automatically recognize it. You might need to install any necessary drivers or updates when connecting for the first time.

  5. Use the Software: You can now use Fender FUSE to modify amp presets, create your own tones, and manage different sound settings for your Mustang I.

If you encounter issues, it might be due to the discontinuation of support for Fender FUSE, and you may need to look for community-driven alternatives or firmware updates.

Why did Fender discontinue the Fuse software?

K
Answer by Ken

Fender wanted their users to upgrade to the newer Mustang GT or Mustang GTX amps which use their Fender Tone app for ease of use and connectivity. It's unfortunately the way technology goes.
